DPAP Technology
DPAP treatment is based on a dual system of custom-made valves (nasal and oral) to control the patient’s entire breathing cycle.
The nasal valve consists of two main interdependent elements: the nasal ring and the valve flaps.
Its purpose is to increase the volume of air inhaled nasally by the patient and generate positive airway pressure (PAP) by slowing down the expiratory flow through the nose.
The valve stabilises the internal pressure level in the airway by releasing more or less airflow depending on the internal pressure level.

The mouth valve contains following elements integrated into one, which are: the splint, the valve flap and the vacuum break element (extraoral sphere).
Its purpose is to regulate the volume of the patient’s mouth inspiratory flow, improve respiratory flow in the epiglottal area, and generate positive airway pressure (PAP) by slowing down the expiratory flow through the mouth.
